The scholarships are for full-time postgraduate study at a UK university including academic fees, living costs and travel to and from the UK. Priority will be given to one-year study programmes in law, economics, international relations, EU integration, public administration, media studies and environment/climate change, but high academic achievers in other subjects may also be considered.
Candidates must:
– must be a national of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the time of applying for the award, and intend to return there at the end of the period of study;
– must hold a degree of an equivalent standard to at least a good UK second-class honours;
– must have at least two years of relevant work experience;
– have the potential to be leaders in their field, and be committed to playing their part in the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and be motivated to develop career in order to establish a position of leadership in your own country;
– must demonstrate that they have achieved a minimum level of English language ability at the time of application. The minimum English language requirement to qualify for a Chevening Scholarship will be Academic IELTS 6.5, IBT TOEFL 79;
– be available for interview in Sarajevo during February 2013.
Only short-listed candidates who clearly demonstrate the above requirements on their Chevening Application Form can be shortlisted for an interview. The panel may also take into account efforts to research relevant courses in the UK when assessing applications.
